Market Corner March 2020
Let's all take a moment to breathe deeply. These are some unprecedented times for us and I have gained hope in seeing everyone come together to support each other. Farmers, producers, and artisans, along with many small businesses have valid concerns of what things will look like on the other side of this, but the community has rallied support with online orders, direct pick-ups, and reaching out to aid in any way possible. It really warms the heart! But, we have some very exciting news...NEW LOCATION! We are moving to the Small Business Center parking lot at the A-B Tech Enka campus at 1465 Sand Hill Road (intersection of Smokey Park), right across from Ingles (traffic light entrance). This new location will have greater visibility, easier traffic flow, more space, and great potential for community engagement. We are so thankful to the Suttons for use of the Pisgah Hwy property in our Opening season, but now are excited to grow into our new location! At present, we still have every intention of opening in May. To follow with CDC Guidelines, things may look a bit different until life and wellness for all gets back to normal. We will keep everyone updated via Facebook and our website. Won't it be so wonderful to have a local source for produce, eggs, meat, herbal and natural products, crafts, and community interaction? Personally, I can't wait! If you haven't yet, take a look at our website to see the current list of vendors that will be a part of ECTM this season. We’ve already doubled the number of vendors and have a wonderful variety that is sure to meet many needs for all. Please continue to share and support. Everyone will need it more than ever! www.ashevillefarmstead.org/enka-candler-tailgate-market April Recipe
Kale and other greens are in abundance during these early Spring months. Kale chips are a wonderful way to get even the pickiest of kids (or adults) eating their veggies. Enjoy!
